Strengthening Customer Security with Identity Verification

At TechPath, keeping customer information secure is always our highest priority. As cyber threats continue to evolve, so do the methods attackers use to impersonate authorised users and gain access to systems. To further enhance protection, we’ve introduced a new identity verification tool called Traceless. This adds an extra layer of security to security-related TechPath support interactions, helping ensure sensitive requests are handled safely.

Why Identity Verification Matters

When customers contact us for assistance, particularly when requesting password resets, access changes, or other security-sensitive support, confirming identity is essential. Even if we’ve worked with someone before, verification helps ensure we’re speaking with the right person and prevents unauthorised access to your environment.

How Verification Works

Microsoft Authenticator (Preferred Method)
For Managed IT customers, identity verification will typically occur via your Microsoft Authenticator app. This provides the highest level of security and is the fastest way to confirm your identity.

SMS Verification (Alternative Method)
If the app can’t be used, verification can also be completed via SMS. To use this option, your mobile number must be recorded in our system.

Secure Delivery of Credentials or Files

In some cases, you may also receive credentials or files securely through Traceless. These will use the domain traceless.io and ensures sensitive information is always transferred safely.
