The New Look Windows 11 is Finally Here

Windows 11 is now available and has been redesigned for greater productivity, creativity, and ease. We have compiled a list of some of the great new features:

1. More Modern Look

Windows 11 brings a massive overhaul of the software’s overall visuals, so everything looks a lot fresher and more modern.

2. New Start Menu

The redesigned Start menu is one of the most noticeable changes. It now acts as a hub for your file and browsing history as well as a list of application shortcuts.

3. Teams Chat Integration

Microsoft Teams Chat is now integrated in the taskbar allowing users to instantly connect through text, chat, voice or video, no matter the platform or device they’re on, across Windows, Android or iOS.

4. Snap Layouts

Windows 11’s has enhanced snap layouts and gives users six pre-defined grid options that can help better arrange your desktop.

5. Taskbar Widgets

This new feature personalises your experience and provides easy access to all the information you want on hand. Click on the taskbar icon to see weather, news, sports, stocks, traffic, entertainment, your upcoming calendar appointments, and more.

6. New App Store

The new and improved Microsoft Store has been rebuilt for speed and brings more apps than ever  before, with content (apps, games, shows, movies) now easier to search and organise.

7. Greater Focus

The new Clock App lets you set time limits for how long you want to work on tasks using Focus Sessions. It also connects with Microsoft To Do, letting you check off your tasks without switching apps.

8. Variable Refresh Rate

Supported mobile devices can now turn on the new dynamic refresh rate setting which helps your battery to last longer.

Although the upgrade is free for users of Windows 10, it is currently being rolled out on brand new PC’s and those with newer hardware. It is important to note that older computers may not be compatible, so please reach out to TechPath if you have any queries.
